In the quiet town of Seymour, Connecticut, a tragedy unfolded on the morning of March 30, 2016, ending the life of 67-year-old Walter Deklyn. First responders were called to a fire at his Bungay Road home shortly after 7 a.m. and were met with a scene of chaos and limited manpower, with only a handful of firefighters initially available to battle the blaze that was deliberately set with combustible materials at opposite ends of the house.
