On the night of December 11, 2016, a tragedy unfolded in the parking lot of Ryan's Pub in Groton, Connecticut, resulting in the death of 24-year-old Joseph "Jo Jo Nice" Gingerella. A male of Hispanic or Latino descent, Gingerella was at the pub when he witnessed a man assaulting a woman.
