On the evening of June 25, 2016, 67-year-old African American male Lonnie King was among a group of individuals gathered near an open fire hydrant in the 700 block of West 66th Street in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood. Around 6:45 p.m., two individuals parked a silver vehicle nearby and observed the group.
