Murdered

On August 14, 2016, Dennis Arshell III, a 19-year-old college student, was fatally shot in Chicago’s Wrightwood neighborhood. Arshell was visiting his family before he was to return to St. John’s University in New York, where he was studying journalism. He was sitting on a porch with a friend when a gunman opened fire, striking Arshell in the chest. His friend, also shot, survived.
