On January 4, 2019, Christopher Carter, a 38-year-old resident of Little Rock, Arkansas, was fatally shot in a double homicide near the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. The incident occurred shortly after 10 a.m., when Carter and 56-year-old Robert Curlett were shot in a parking lot. Curlett was pronounced dead at the scene, while Carter was transported to Arkansas Children's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
