In the small community of Waldo, Arkansas, the discovery of a body in the middle of a road shattered the morning quiet on January 27, 2019. The deceased was identified as Wallace Antonio Turner Jr., a 39-year-old Black/African American man. An investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office soon revealed that he had been the victim of a homicide, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head in what appeared to be an execution-style killing.
