On September 28, 2022, a young man named Leighton Whitfield, aged 21, was fatally shot in what should have been a place of healing. He was visiting his fiancée, Jade Pye, who was a patient on the fourth floor of CHI St. Vincent North hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas. The unexpected and tragic turn of events unfolded when a man they both knew, 24-year-old Raymond Lovett, also known as “Ajay,” entered the hospital room.
