On December 15, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, 16-year-old Tyron Smith tragically lost his life due to an accidental gunshot wound. The incident occurred in a residence on Burwood Avenue, where Smith and three other teenagers were handling a semi-automatic handgun. They were reportedly passing the firearm around, taking photos and recording videos intended for social media. During this activity, the gun discharged, and Smith was struck in the chest.
