On December 23, 2024, at approximately 11 a.m., Officer Michael Horan, 43, of the Greensboro Police Department, was fatally shot while responding to a report of a man with a firearm inside a Food Lion supermarket on Lawndale Drive in Greensboro, North Carolina. Witnesses inside the store reported hearing multiple gunshots.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Tarell Isaac McMillian, fled the scene following the incident. A high-speed chase ensued, during which McMillian was apprehend ...
