On December 18, 2024, at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers from the Charles County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a body in a field located in the 6800 block of Swann Gate Place in Hughesville, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased body of 60-year-old Paul Sherwood Swann, a resident of a nearby house.
