On December 18, 2024, at approximately 6:31 p.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 18000 block of Royal Forest Drive in New Tampa. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 67-year-old Steven Alan Glantz with multiple gunshot wounds. He was promptly transported to a local hospital but, tragically, succumbed to his injuries.
Surveillance footage from the area revealed an individual approaching Glantz's residence.
The sound of multiple gunshots was captured, followed by the same individual departing the scene on foot. A subsequent search of the vicinity, aided by the Sheriff's K-9 unit, led to the discovery of 66-year-old neighbor, Timothy Lobianco, who was found deceased with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators have classified the incident as a murder-suicide, stemming from a neighborly dispute that escalated to fatal violence. The exact nature of the disagreement remains under investigation. Authorities have stated that there are no additional suspects involved, and no further arrests are anticipated in connection with this case.
Steven Glantz is remembered by his family, including his wife, Marcia, his mother, Beverly, his three children, Gabriel, Kyle, and Isabel, his sister, Michele, and his two grandchildren, Riley and Camila. Private services have been arranged to honor his memory.
