On December 19, 2024, 44-year-old Aaron Michael Kyle was fatally shot during a home invasion on South Scarlet Oak Terrace near Homosassa, Florida. The Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) responded to reports of a shooting involving multiple individuals. Upon arrival, deputies found Kyle critically injured; he was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
