On November 27, 2024, Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies conducted a welfare check at Pringle's residence on Weeks Ranch Road after she failed to report to work. Inside, they discovered the bodies of Pringle and 43-year-old Keith Gray, both with gunshot wounds, and a handgun nearby. Preliminary investigations suggest that Gray, a former colleague and reportedly Pringle's boyfriend, fatally shot Pringle before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide.
