On May 31, 2023, at approximately 2:51 p.m., Arlington police responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the 3000 block of Amberway Drive. Upon arrival, officers found 37-year-old Maysaa Zaaroor unresponsive in a bedroom, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They immediately carried her outside and administered life-saving measures until paramedics arrived. Zaaroor was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
