Xavier Soto, aged 15, was shot and killed on April 27, 2017, in Chicago's Cragin neighborhood. The incident took place in the 4900 block of West George Street. Soto's death was part of a broader pattern of gang-related violence that plagued the city during that time. According to federal documents, Xavier Soto was targeted by Pedro Navarro, a member of the Milwaukee Kings street gang, in an effort to increase Navarro's status within the gang.
