On July 5, 2023, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 4600 block of Village Fair Drive. Upon arrival, officers found 19-year-old Josef Amar Treece lying on the ground with a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene by Dallas Fire and Rescue.
