On August 10, 2023, in Georgetown, Texas, 73-year-old Sylvia Rodriguez was tragically killed in a murder-suicide incident involving her son, Albert Rodriguez, aged 52. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office reported that around 5 p.m., a 911 call alerted authorities to a shooting at a residence in the 500 block of Vaughn Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the bodies of Sylvia and Albert Rodriguez. Investigators determined that Albert had fatally shot his mother before taking his own life.
