On August 12, 2023, 26-year-old Cedric Allen Spikes was found deceased from a gunshot wound in his Fort Worth, Texas apartment. The discovery was made by local authorities responding to reports of a shooting in the area. Spikes' death was subsequently classified as a homicide.
