On August 20, 2023, 49-year-old Scharhonda Kay Baker was fatally shot in Denison, Texas. The incident, which also resulted in injuries to three other individuals, prompted an immediate investigation by the Denison Police Department. Authorities swiftly identified and apprehended three juvenile suspects in connection with the shooting.
