On June 3, 2024, Larry Wayne Land, a 72-year-old resident of Waller, Texas, was found deceased in his home from an apparent gunshot wound. The discovery was made after the Navasota Police Department requested a welfare check, following the arrest of his son, 29-year-old Joshua Land, for a separate incident.
