On June 30, 2024, 13-year-old Anthony Joel Lopez Jr. was fatally shot in a southwest Houston apartment located on Wanda Lane. The tragic incident occurred while Anthony was visiting his mother, Monica Medina, during a trip from his home in Washington state. Known for his sweet and caring nature, Anthony had a deep love for his family and a passion for football, aspiring to play in the NFL one day.
