On June 24, 2023, 17-year-old Julio Guerrero was fatally shot in a gang-related incident near Vintage Park and Helmsdale Drives in Sacramento County, California. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office reported that Guerrero sustained a gunshot wound to the head during a confrontation between two groups of young individuals. Despite emergency responders' efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
