On September 13, 2023, at approximately 2:53 a.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 44900 block of Valley Central Way in Lancaster, California. Upon arrival, they discovered Stephanie Silva, a 43-year-old woman, with a gunshot wound to her upper torso. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene.
