On October 16, 2023, at approximately 5:10 p.m., 47-year-old Nickolas Bonilla of Carson, California, was fatally shot in Wilmington, a neighborhood in Los Angeles. The incident occurred near Sanford Avenue and East M Street, where Bonilla and a 44-year-old male companion were socializing outdoors.
