In the early hours of January 1, 2024, 19-year-old Julian Barajas-Lopez was fatally shot during a sideshow event in East Oakland, California. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of 36th Avenue when a fight broke out among participants, leading to gunfire that struck Barajas-Lopez in the back. Despite prompt medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
