On January 3, 2024, at approximately 4:40 p.m., Moraga Police responded to a welfare check request at a residence on Southard Court in Moraga, California. The call was made by an adult child who had been unable to contact their parents, Brad and Rebekah Triebsch. Upon arrival, officers were met by a concerned neighbor who also expressed inability to reach the couple. Entering the residence, police discovered the bodies of Brad, 60, and Rebekah, 59, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
