On January 28, 2024, at approximately 7:58 p.m., deputies from the Kern County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire and a man down in the 1100 block of 10th Street in Wasco, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 40-year-old Fernando Torres suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite prompt medical attention, Torres succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
