Franklyn Spencer, a 31-year-old Black male, was found dead in a stairwell in Los Angeles, California, on May 23, 2024. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined that his manner of death was homicide, caused by a gunshot wound to the head and neck. The formal pronouncement of his death was made at 2:11 p.m. on that Thursday.
