On August 17, 2024, at approximately 9:00 AM, a tragic incident unfolded in East Oakland, California, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Tyrell Bland. The Oakland Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 1600 block of 83rd Avenue, where they discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
