On August 21, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred in the Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, California, resulting in the deaths of 61-year-old Laurie Robinson and her 30-year-old son, Brett Robinson. The incident took place at the residence of 85-year-old June Bushey, Laurie's mother, located on Zola Street, just a block from Point Loma High School. June sustained serious injuries during the attack but survived and was hospitalized.
