On October 15, 2024, in Bellflower, California, 54-year-old Tamica Gant Lawrence was tragically killed by her ex-boyfriend, 59-year-old Alerey Ambrose, in a violent domestic dispute. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at Lawrence's apartment on Artesia Boulevard. Ambrose forcibly entered the residence by kicking in the door, then proceeded to Lawrence's son's bedroom, shooting the 26-year-old in the hip.
