In the quiet community of Luttrell, Tennessee, a devastating series of events unfolded on January 29, 2023, culminating in the tragic death of five-year-old Gabriella Aljumaily. Emergency services were called to a house fire on Clinch Valley Road, where they made a grim discovery. Inside the charred remains of the home, they found the bodies of Gabriella, her fifteen-year-old sister Briseis Aljumaily, nine-year-old Audrie Quinn Cooper-Fortner, five-year-old Evelyn Rose Cooper-Fortner, and
fifty-two-year-old Charles Damon Aljumaily. Gabriella, a female, was born on December 30, 2017.
Initial beliefs that the fire was the cause of the deaths were tragically incorrect. With the perpetrator deceased, the District Attorney General announced that no criminal charges would be filed, and the investigation was officially closed.
