In the Whitehaven area of Memphis, Tennessee, the overnight hours of February 10, 2023, were shattered by an act of gun violence that claimed the life of 15-year-old Lecorrian Detagus Smith. A Black male, Smith was found by the Memphis Police Department in the 1600 block of Kirkwood Road suffering from gunshot wounds.
