On the evening of September 25, 2017, Anthony Oliver, a 46-year-old African American male from west suburban Aurora, Illinois, was fatally shot in Chicago's West Side Austin neighborhood. At approximately 8:46 p.m., while seated in a vehicle in the 5100 block of West Concord Place, an assailant approached and opened fire, striking Oliver multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
