In the early morning hours of January 8, 2024, a fatal shooting shattered the quiet of Presley Road in Lexington, Tennessee, leaving 21-year-old Matthew D. Jones dead. An investigation into the death of the young man from Reagan was promptly launched by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, in conjunction with the Henderson County Sheriff's Office, at the request of 26th Judicial District Attorney General Jody Pickens.
