In the Castalia Heights neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, the night of February 21, 2024, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 60-year-old Marc L. Chism, a Black male. Just after midnight, Chism was engaged in a conversation with another individual on the 2000 block of East Person Avenue when gunfire erupted. Both individuals were struck in the shooting, and while the other victim was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, Chism's injuries proved to be
fatal.
The Memphis Police Department promptly launched a homicide investigation into the tragic event that shook the local community. In their efforts to apprehend those responsible for Chism's death, authorities have released video footage of the suspects they believe were involved in the deadly shooting.
