On October 6, 2024, at approximately 10:20 a.m., Memphis police responded to a shooting incident on Capen Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Darrian Scott deceased at the scene. The investigation revealed that an altercation between Scott and 20-year-old Dominic Watkins had escalated, culminating in Watkins allegedly shooting Scott multiple times with a Glock 23 Gen 4 handgun equipped with an extended magazine.
