On the evening of June 13, 2023, 35-year-old Patricia White was fatally shot at West Catasauqua Park in Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania. Responding to reports of gunfire, Whitehall Township police discovered White with multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her death was later ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner. A second individual, Frank Russo, was also found at the scene with four gunshot wounds but survived after undergoing surgery.
The assailant was identified as Rami Abouloh, White's 41-year-old estranged husband. Shortly after the shooting, Abouloh contacted 911 and confessed to shooting his wife and another man. He was subsequently arrested at his residence in Allentown, where authorities recovered the firearm used in the incident. As he was being taken into custody, Abouloh reportedly said, 'That's what happens when you cheat.'
Following his arrest, Abouloh was charged with first-degree murder, attempted homicide, and aggravated assault. In August 2024, he was convicted on all counts. For the murder of Patricia White, he received a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Additionally, he was given a consecutive sentence of 20 to 40 years for the attempted murder of Frank Russo.
Patricia White, who was born in Beirut, Lebanon, was a manager at a Dunkin' Donuts and a mother of four children.
