On July 2, 2024, 27-year-old Dontae Dickerson was fatally shot inside the Lucky 7 convenience store located on the 1100 block of Morton Avenue in Chester, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 11:20 a.m., when police responded to reports of a shooting and found Dickerson lying on the store floor with a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
