On November 26, 2023, at approximately 4:29 a.m., Greensboro police responded to an aggravated assault call on River Oaks Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 24-year-old Bakari Aman Lee in front of a building, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by Guilford County EMS, Lee was pronounced dead at the scene.
