On January 8, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Forsyth County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a man lying at the intersection of Blue Bonnet Lane and Bridal Path in Clemmons, North Carolina. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Damilyon Raekwon Monroe with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to his abdomen. Deputies administered CPR until Forsyth County EMS arrived; however, Monroe succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
