On the morning of April 27, 2024, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Goldsboro Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at Kim’s Beauty Supply, located at 718 East Ash Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 26-year-old Kristopher Marquise Faison in the parking lot, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported Faison to UNC Health Wayne, where he was pronounced dead.
