On August 15, 2014, Willie Knighton, a 63-year-old man, was found shot to death in a red Jeep Cherokee at Collier Park in northwest Atlanta. His body was discovered around 9 a.m., not far from a playground where children frequently played. Investigators at the scene found multiple shell casings, indicating that several shots were fired.
