On the morning of August 15th, 63-year-old Willie Knighton, an African-American male, was found deceased in his red Jeep Cherokee at Collier Park. The vehicle, parked near a playground, was riddled with bullets, a chilling testament to the violence that had unfolded.
Knighton, a Riverdale resident, had been shot multiple times.
Investigators descended upon the scene, collecting evidence that began to paint a grim picture of Knighton's final moments.
