In the fading light of a December evening in Atlanta, tragedy befell a young man with a future seemingly full of promise. On December 12, 2016, 23-year-old Joshua Sherrod, an African-American male, was fatally shot outside a recording studio in the city's southwest quadrant. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. at The Metropolitan Arts District, a place Sherrod had just visited.
