Joshua Sherrod, a 23-year-old man, was shot and killed on December 12, 2016, outside a recording studio in southwest Atlanta. The shooting occurred around 8 p.m. at The Metropolitan Arts District, where Sherrod had recently visited one of the studios. Police reported that Sherrod was shot multiple times and believed to be the intended target.
