On April 21, 2023, authorities in Carroll County, Virginia, responded to multiple reports of a man brandishing a firearm on Highway Route 52, just north of Little Bear Trail. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers encountered 37-year-old Kyle Snow from Lowgap, North Carolina, who was armed and uncooperative. After a brief standoff, Snow was taken into custody.
