In the late summer of 2023, the life of Seth Lee Hizer, a 30-year-old male, was cut short in an incident that unfolded in the southern region of Page County, Virginia. On Sunday, August 27, 2023, emergency services received a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 3000 block of Jollett Road, an area with an Elkton mailing address. When deputies from the Page County Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene, they discovered Hizer deceased from a gunshot wound.
