On January 5, 2024, at approximately 8:23 p.m., Henrico County Police responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident in the 8300 block of Battlefield Park Road in the Varina District. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Terell Crosson Jr. in the driver's seat of the vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The vehicle had collided with a tree. Crosson was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that night.
