On October 2, 2024, at approximately 2:01 p.m., the Southampton County Sheriff's Office received a report of an unresponsive woman lying on Angelico Road in Capron, Virginia. Deputies arrived to find the woman in the roadway, about a mile from the intersection of Cedar View Road. Emergency medical services pronounced her dead at the scene by 2:27 p.m. The victim had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
The body was transported to the Tidewater Office of the Chief Medical Examiner
