A bright and promising life was tragically cut short on the evening of November 5, 2015, in southwest Atlanta. Justin Wray Hilliard, a 30-year-old African-American male, was fatally wounded by gunfire in what has been described as a senseless act of violence. Hilliard, who was born on July 7, 1985, was not believed to be the intended target of the shooting, a heartbreaking detail that has compounded the grief for his family and friends.
