On the evening of November 7, 2024, in Chesterfield, Virginia, the life of 25-year-old Dominique C. Fields, a Black female, was tragically cut short. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:54 p.m. in the 5800 block of Nottinghill Drive, Chesterfield County Police officers discovered Fields suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was quickly transported to a local hospital, but succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation into her death swiftly pointed to a domestic dispute. Authorities identified 31-year-old Quadry B. Campbell as the suspect. Campbell was in a romantic relationship with Fields, and the two shared a home on Nottinghill Drive. The day after the fatal shooting, on November 8, 2024, Campbell was located and arrested in Chesterfield County with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Campbell faces charges of second-degree murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection with Fields' death. In the wake of this tragedy, Fields' family described her as a devoted mother of two with a kind heart, emphasizing the profound loss felt by her loved ones and the community.
